Entrepreneurial businessman Alan Aim has swapped his taxi for a Cash Generator store, after opening his first franchise in Inverness.
Alan, from the Orkney Isles, is looking forward to the future of his retail business as he opens Cash Generator’s 130th store at 38 Union Street, Inverness.
A business graduate from Edinburgh University, Alan previously operated a private hire minibus company and worked in his family’s building firm in Orkney, before deciding to take the plunge and invest in a franchise.
Alan says: “I have worked in a plethora of industries so I am excited to invest in one business that gives me a wide range of services to offer. Inverness is a wonderful city and it is great to bring new business into the centre.”
Exactly a year since he attended the Cash Generator open day that sparked his interest, Alan officially opened his store in November.
“I was hugely impressed by Cash Generator’s organisational culture, its ambitious targets and common focus that everyone involved has. After speaking to numerous members of the team I was convinced that this was the vehicle to take my business ambitions forward.”
Spotting a gap in the market for a buy and sell discount retailer, Alan is confident that Inverness will provide a successful platform for his business. He has ambitious plans for the future.
“I am looking to expand my business portfolio further in the future and will concentrate on, not only aiming to be the best performing Cash Generator store in the UK, but also being the number one foreign currency provider in the Highlands and Islands,” concluded Alan.
